Joe Edakkunnathu
Background:
I began my career based singularly within the Internet in 1997. I graduated with top honors by the only one in my design class with an online portfolio after teaching myself to code. At the beginning stages of their early days of the Internet, I was lucky being in the right place at the right time and found myself working some of the largest global ad agencies and consultancy in the Chicago area. Working on helping launch websites for large brands such as Budweiser, Harley-Davidson and Cummins Engines.
After the “dot.com” crash tanking the economy in the early 2000s, I found myself out of a corporate job. With a brand new fancy downtown condo and nice car, I was shit scared..so what did I do? I taught myself how to do SEO…because I suck at networking.
After learning about SEO, I built my web design business…and was able to land my own clients such as Discover, True Value, Encyclopedia Britannica, Alcatel-Lucent and Chicago’s Soldier Field Stadium. I grew and got more help…and several years ago decided to offer SEO to my client’s as well. My goal was to bring my experience with large companies and help small and medium sized businesses.
What people seem to like best about theSOULwithin is that I can help translate their inner goals through design and marketing as well as one-stop-shop resource instead of hiring separate web designers and SEO, we can do it all well.
People like that I am able to explain complex issues in ways they can understand and help guide them through their projects easily. Many of my clients are based in Chicago but I currently live in DFW, I fly between our two offices as needed and I really hope that you can get in touch with us to see how we can help you grow.
Fun Facts:
- I designed and built budweiser.com in 1997, just fresh out of school.
- Love to travel and have been all around the world, some of my favorite places: Tokyo, Istanbul, Bali & Venice.
- I can cook, if I was rich and didn’t need to try to be profitable – I would love to have owned a restaurant just out of shear joy.
- I have helped build other companies, including a mobile app company that has been written about on CNN.com and a chain of retail vape shops in Chicago.
- I collect whiskies. Just don’t remind my wife about this.
- I am patient and a great listener…again, my wife may not agree, but it’s who I am to my clients.
